The Burger King employee who rose to fame after management gave him a mediocre gift bag has his retirement plan ready… and it involves putting his cooking skills on wheels.
Kevin Ford — who blew up in 2022 after his BK bosses gave him a pretty simple, inexpensive gift bag for his 27th anniversary despite never missing a day of work – tells TMZ that he has purchased a food truck for the next phase of his life.
Ford told us he bought the semi in China for about $20,000 (including shipping)—a much cheaper price than in the U.S.—and that it comes fully equipped with an oven, fryer, and more… the whole shebang.
KF, who will work with his Le Cordon Bleu-trained daughter, plans to start by selling some foods he knows well… hamburgers and hot dogs.
He says he plans to leave BK as soon as he starts making a profit with “K27Y,” a reference to his viral fame. Ford wants to get out before next May, which will mark 30 years with the franchise.
While he starts off with American classics, Kevin tells us he wants to spice up his truck with Filipino dishes… a tribute to his Filipino fiancée.

As we told you… GoFundMe money raised after Kevin went viral because his mediocre gift bag was already well used – because he bought a house in Nevada Earlier this year for $177,000.
He plans to initially open pop-ups near the house he bought and then launch at a Home Depot in October.
From mediocre gift bag to state of the art food truck… Kevin is now hands down the king!
