Accordingly Love FoodCedar Rapids is home to one of the best hot dog shops in America!
There are 57 different restaurants on Love Food’s list, but only one from the state of Iowa. At number 20 is Gianna’s Italian Beef! The article reads:
“When customers enter Gianna’s Italian Beef, they are greeted by a picture of the owner’s daughter, Gianna, in the restaurant. Gianna sadly passed away at the age of four and her parents opened this cozy eatery in her honor. One of Gianna’s favorite dishes was a Vienna sausage with pickles and mustard, and that is now the highlight of the menu.”
Located at 375 3rd Street SE in downtown Cedar Rapids, Gianna’s is dangerously close to our office. That’s one of the reasons I go there so often! That and the fact that the food is delicious.
If you’re craving a hot dog, Gianna’s offers a classic Chicago Dog with mustard, onions, tomatoes, peppers, relish, celery salt, and pickles, all on a poppy seed bun. If that’s not enough, order the Keoni Dog, a Chicago Dog with Italian beef and melted cheddar cheese! Other options include an Italian sausage with various toppings, as well as an Italian beef and sausage combo. Oh, and don’t forget the fries to go with it. They are the absolute BEST!
The Corridor offers a whole host of delicious hot dog options! You can check out a list from National Hot Dog Day 2024 HERE. Let us know your favorite by sending us a message through our Stations app!
