The University of Hawaii Manoa Bookstore announced the launch of a new ZERO (Name, Image and Likeness) Store that officially licensed UH Merchandise that is individually designed for each participating student-athlete. ZERO store, operated by Athletic Solutions, offers athletes the opportunity to open and promote their own online store. Fans can browse and purchase these items, directly supporting their favorite athletes.
With every purchase UH Athletes receive direct payments from the sale of their goods.
Athletic Solutions works with student-athletes at universities and colleges across the country and has online stores in over 170 locations.
“We are excited to partner with Athletic Solutions and provide our athletes with a store where their fans, families and friends can purchase personalized merchandise that directly supports them,” said UH Bookstore manager Tricia Ejima-Zane.
“This partnership between Athletic Solutions and the UH Bookstore will allow our student athletes to monetize their name, image and likeness while supporting the Hawaii brand,” said UH Sporting Director Craig Angelos.
The ZERO The stores offer more than 150 different styles, including headwear, t-shirts, fleece and accessories from various collegiate brands, all featuring the name, image and likeness of the respective student-athletes. The range of colors, styles and graphics is almost unlimited.
