Q: What are you reading right now?

A: I just started Bringing Out the Best in People by Aubrey Daniels and just finished You Squared by Price Pritchett. Both books were recommended to me by my mentor. I particularly like You Squared. It offers really good insight into how to challenge yourself and overcome obstacles. I could identify with many of the themes, such as looking for failure and changing your personal rules for success, which ultimately help you quantify your abilities.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant?

A: Ruth’s Chris. I like a good steak. When my parents come to visit, I like to bring them here for a night out on the town. It’s always fun, good conversation and good food.

Q: Where do you train or play your favorite sport?

A: Camp Rhino Southeast. I originally went just to get back into working out after not being in the gym for a while. I’ve been interested in sports and fitness since I was a kid – I played soccer and ran track. I knew I wanted to have a personal trainer and be more focused on my personal health and fitness goals. Sabrina Atterbom is a first-class trainer.

Q: How do you relax after a hard week?

A: I work on maintaining balance throughout the week. Besides my workouts, I enjoy a nice spa day away from it all. Second, I am close to my support system – talking to my parents, which I am lucky to have both, or spending time with my girlfriend. I also talk to friends and hang out with them. Finally, fellowship and going to church are always renewing.

Q: What is the biggest challenge for Las Vegas in the next five years?

A: One of the biggest challenges facing Las Vegas over the next five years is the growth of the city, which comes with bringing in newcomers from other parts of the country and attracting a professional baseball team. I believe this growth potential also brings its own challenges, from increased traffic, safety issues, infrastructure and rising real estate prices, to name just a few factors related to the city’s growth.
