This Halloween store is ready to open in St. Cloud

If you haven’t checked the calendar yet, we are in the middle of August. It is the time for back-to-school classes for both college and elementary/high school. Lots of people are milling around in big box stores buying things their kids will need for the school year.

What I’ve been seeing earlier and earlier every year is not just fall decorations, but also Halloween items. Costumes, decorations and more. And now I notice that a huge seasonal store is also set to open this month.

Spirit of Halloween.

Spirit Halloween is a pop-up Halloween store that typically pops up in otherwise vacant buildings. When my store closes and hasn’t been leased to another business, Spirit Halloween will pop up there often in the weeks leading up to the holiday. This time, it will occupy the former Tuesday Morning location in the Division Place Fashion Center, where TJ MAXX is also located.

This is the second time Spirit Halloween has taken over this location in St. Cloud. It’s not quite open yet… although I think it’s a little early for that. That’s just my opinion though. The positive side of this is that when it opens you might get a head start on costumes… plan ahead and maybe get a costume for yourself and/or your child that’s fun and not just cobbled together at the last minute. I’m looking for the positives.

The sign on the door says “Opening Soon”. Their website just says “Opening in August”. Which day in August, wasn’t specified…at least not here. We have 2 weeks left in the month, so one of those days, I guess.

Spirit Halloween offers many unique and fun things for Halloween, including not only costumes, but everything you could possibly need to host a Halloween party or decorate your house and yard for the trick or treating kids.

On the website you will find a discount coupon that will allow you to save 20%. And why not? Save whenever you can.

WATCH: How Halloween has changed in the last 100 years

Stacker has compiled a list of the changes that Halloween has undergone over the past 100 years, from the way we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear while trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that have changed the way Halloween has been celebrated over time. Many of these traditions have been phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, each piece of Halloween history has left an impression that we can still see traces of today.
