Azerbaijan exported 7.5 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe between January and July, the ministry said
BAKU, August 9 (Reuters) – Azerbaijan exported 7.5 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe in the first seven months of the year, compared with 6.6 billion cubic meters in the same period last year, the Energy Ministry said on Friday.
In the period from January to July, oil production amounted to 16.9 million tonnes and exports amounted to 14.1 million tonnes.

Oil production at BP-operated Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields in Azerbaijan fell to 9.7 million tonnes in January–In July, the numbers rose from 10.6 million in the same period last year.
Azerbaijan’s oil production is declining as offshore oil fields have passed their peak.
BP gas production in the Shah Deniz field increased to 29.5 billion cubic meters in the January-July period from 28.1 billion cubic meters in the previous year.
Production of associated gas, a byproduct of oil production, at the Azeri Chirag Guneshli field amounted to 7.7 billion cubic meters in the first seven months of the year.
