Located inside The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas (formerly the Four Seasons Resort), Chef John Tesar’s new Italian steakhouse is a must-visit when in Irving. An offshoot of the Michelin-starred chef’s very good restaurant Knife, the Italian version serves oysters, raw, homemade pastas, steaks and more. Interiors are by Schoos Design and the space features palm trees, magenta couches and original artwork by Thomas Schoos.

This popular Irving restaurant was founded in 2012 by twin chefs Sam and Wassim Merched. The brothers worked for years in their family’s award-winning restaurants before deciding to open their own Mediterranean eatery. Andalous serves dips, handmade breads, charcoal-cooked kebabs, brick-baked pies, salads and sandwiches. Since 2010, this popular empanadas shop has been serving Latin American and Argentinian cuisine. It’s a fast-casual restaurant owned by Raul Gordon, a Buenos Aires native, and serves some of the best empanadas in the city. Gordon coined the name Empa Mundo, which means “empanadas from around the world.” The menu features 13 empanadas options, from sweet to savory.

Since 2018, this Mexican restaurant with a healthy twist has been serving great, authentic dishes in Las Colinas. Founded by Hugo Miranda, the concept is known for its “skinny” bar—that is, all cocktails are made with agave instead of sugar, organic liquors, and fresh fruit. This upscale Las Colinas restaurant was only a year old at the time and was set to close in 1985 before Fran Lively bought the restaurant. Since then, Via Reál has remained a popular concept for its relaxed Southwestern and Mexican cuisine. Fajitas, enchiladas and filet mignon are the dishes to try here.

This upscale Indian eatery is a must-visit for its stylish atmosphere and incredible dishes. Opened by Sanjay Joshi and Probodh Arora (Saffron House), Sanjh was designed by ID 4 Studio. The modern space is decorated in neutral colors, highlighted by warm tones of satin brass and marble stone. A golden tree serves as the focal point of the dining room. To create the menu, the Sanjh team enlisted chef Balpreet Singh Chadha, who recently landed a spot on Condé Nast Traveller‘s list of 40 Under 40: India’s Most Exciting Young Chefs 2023.
