From food trucks to fine dining and craft beer to craft cocktails, Huntsville and Madison County celebrate all things culinary.
Throughout August, locals and visitors alike are invited to participate in culinary month. The main course is Huntsville Restaurant Week (HRW), which spans ten delicious days from August 9th to 18th. Participants can enjoy exclusive menus and take advantage of special offers from a variety of restaurant owners.
Now in its 12th year, HRW is an annual celebration of the Huntsville/Madison County culinary scene.
The Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) launched the event in 2012 to promote area restaurants and generate additional sales.
The event has grown so much that in 2022 we launched Culinary Month to celebrate our diverse food and drink offerings throughout August.
Jennifer Moore, CVB President/CEO, said in a press release, “Our local restaurants are an integral part of our identity as a world-class destination, and Culinary Month is as much a celebration for our restaurants as it is for visitors and locals. This campaign is a way to show our appreciation for restaurant owners throughout our community.”
Highlights include:
- Rocket City Dish Pass: New for 2024: Sign up for the Rocket City Dish Pass, then check in at participating restaurants for a chance to win a prize package valued at over $750.
- #DineHsv: Use social media with Restaurant Week’s official hashtag #DineHsv to win gift cards to restaurants near you.
“Every year the diversity of our dining scene grows and this is an exciting celebration,” said Pam Williams, who directs culinary month for the CVB, in a press release. “Having Redstone, the Marshall Space Flight Center and numerous international companies located here attracts new residents who bring their culinary influences with them.”
“This is reflected in the ever-expanding selection,” Williams continued. “We encourage everyone to enjoy the flavors of local cuisine and take advantage of the special events of Culinary Month in August.”
