“Food insecurity is a real problem in our home community,” said HCHFB Executive Director Anita Hagen. “Over 32,160 friends and neighbors in Hamilton County don’t know where their next meal will come from.”

The Just give Program encourages customers to add a $10 Just give donation card to their shopping cart, which is then converted into a Meijer grocery-only gift card and donated to a local food bank in the store’s community.

HCHFB will benefit from donation cards in Meijer stores in Noblesville through September 28. In addition, Meijer will double all customer cards on Saturday, August 17 and September 14, effectively tripling contributions made on both days. Meijer customers who shop online with Meijer Pickup or Home Delivery can also Just give Donation cards included with your order.

“The ongoing hardships have taught us all the importance of community members supporting one another,” Hagen said. “We encourage our community to donate and help us feed our neighbors in need in Hamilton County by opening a Meijer Just give “Place a food donation card in your shopping cart the next time you shop.”

Since 2008, the Meijer program has distributed more than $91 million to food banks across the Midwest to feed neighbors in need. Just give Program.

You can also donate to this program through the HCH Food Bank online donation feature. Simply select “Grocery Purchases” or “Meals for Kids” and rest assured your donation will go toward grocery purchases for hungry neighbors.
