The Buffalo Bills will have to do without the services of their backup quarterback Shane Buechele for a while after the former Kansas City Chiefs playmaker was placed on the injured list.
Buechele spent the first two years of his career in Kansas City before being released after the Chiefs’ training camp in 2023. Buffalo quickly signed him when he became a free agent, and he spent last season on the Bills’ practice squad.
After Buffalo placed Buechele on the injured list, the organization signed veteran playmaker Ben DiNucci to take the former SMU star’s spot on the roster.
Check out Adam Schefter’s report on the Bills’ roster changes below:

While these events are unlikely to alter Buffalo’s course for the 2024 season, Buechele’s absence from Bills practice sessions will greatly impact the team’s preparations over the next few weeks.
Buechele made a name for himself as a preseason standout in Kansas City, but after his recent injury, he won’t get the chance to do that in Buffalo.
