Single Hill Commons opens tomorrow in Ballard in the former Outpouring Bottle Shop – My Ballard

There’s a new brewery in town: Single Hill Brewing opens August 13 at 6400 24th Ave NW.

Single Hill is a Yakima-based brewery – the Ballard taproom will be their first location outside of Yakima. In addition to their beer, they will sell wine, guest beers and non-alcoholic beverages.

Single Hill is taking over the location that housed Outpouring Bottle Shop for three years. Outpouring closed its doors in May.

The new store is called Single Hill Commons. Andrew Pytel, director of sales and marketing at Single Hill, says they will be releasing new beers each month, which will be available on tap and in cans. There will also be a small snack menu, including soft pretzels, a cheese board and canned fish.

“We know the modern craft beer drinker likes choice. They look for the latest releases every time they go out,” Pytel said in a statement about the opening. Each month, Single Hill releases several IPAs, a fruity sour beer, a lager and a rotating list of other brews.

“We’re so excited to bring Single Hill to Seattle, and Single Hill is an organization that’s all about community,” Pytel said. “The opportunity to share more of our beer in a space we’ve designed is wonderful. However, it’s not as easy as it used to be to build community around a tavern. A group of friends going out for a drink aren’t all drinking beer, so we’re making sure we can accommodate those who are gluten-free or sober without it feeling like an afterthought.”

Single Hill Commons opens Tuesday, August 13th at 2:00 p.m. The taproom is 21+.
