WWE Raw results 10/7 – World Heavyweight and Intercontinental titles on the line, Donnybrook match





Welcome to Wrestling Inc. results for “WWE Raw” on October 7, 2024, coming to you live from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, in a new time slot of 8:00 p.m. ET to 10:00 p.m. ET !

Jey Uso will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Sami Zayn. Not only is this the first time Jey has put the title on the line on television since he dethroned Bron Breakker on the Sept. 23 edition of “Raw,” but Jey also originally holds the title as Woods’ New Day stablemate Kofi Kingston before Kingston revealed that he had rejected his offer to give it to Woods.

There’s another title on the line tonight as Guenther puts the World Heavyweight Championship on the line while defending against Sami Zayn for the first time since his successful win over Randy Orton at the WWE Bash in Berlin on August 31st. Although Zayn had been fighting for the title in recent weeks and GUNTHER had refused to give it to him, he granted him the opportunity on last week’s Raw after a verbal confrontation turned physical.

Old rivals Sheamus and Pete Dunne attempt to settle their differences once and for all tonight by going one on one in a Good Ol’ Fashion Donnybrook Match. The former Brawling Brutes’ teammates have had no shortage of issues in recent weeks, facing off in a handful of messages sent to each other and physical brawls.

Additionally, “Raw” General Manager Adam Pearce announced on WWE’s social media accounts that Seth “Freakin” Rollins will appear on the show tonight after giving Bronson Reed his Last Monster Standing match against Braun last Monday Strowman had tasted.

We are live! Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore greet the audience at home while Sexyy Red waits in the ring to greet the live audience on “Raw.”

CM Punk then makes his way to the ring.

We hear from CM Punk

Punk says he’s in no shape to walk and it hurts him to smile and as long as he’s alive he doesn’t feel like it. He says even though he won his Hell In A Cell match against Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood on Saturday, he doesn’t feel like a winner. He says he’s the most hurt he’s ever been in his life, then says he wants to thank his fans for their years of support, his colleagues for walking the aisles with backstage, and his haters for that they motivated him to turn around and turn their hatred into cash.

Seth “Freakin” Rollins’ music hits and he makes his way to the ring while staring at Punk on the ramp.

We hear from Seth Rollins

Rollins wants Punk to get well soon so he can come back to Raw sooner and get beaten up by him. He then greets the fans at Monday Night Rollins and says that things were crazy at Bad Blood. He says he’s back on “Raw” to destroy Bronson Reed for dragging him out a few months ago, then sends him a message and says if Reed wanted to make a name for himself, he would definitely have it case done. He tells Reed that he will give him the 15 minutes of fame he wants and then challenges him to a match at a time and place of his choosing. He warns Reed that he will expect him differently this time than last time.

Then Jey Uso’s music hits and he makes his way out. A new day follows.

The doorbell rings and the two lock up. Jey sends Woods into the corner and then counters with an enzuigiri. The pair brawl on the apron, but Woods sends Jey to the floor and sends him crashing to the mat with a fireman’s carry slam.

Back from the break, Jey fires a right hand at Woods. Woods responds with one of his own, but Jey lands another right hand. The two continue to brawl back and forth, but Woods puts Jey down with a superkick and goes for a pin. Jey steps out. Woods goes up top and flies, but Jey catches him with a superkick and a Uso Splash off the top for the win.

Winner (and still): Jey Uso

After the match, Jey and Kingston help Woods. Jey hugs Kingston and offers his hand to Woods, but Woods decides not to shake it and walks to the back with Kingston frustrated. Bron Breakker then appears and impales Jey. Kingston encourages Woods to help Jey, but Woods decides against it. Kingston then slides into the ring and tries to take down Breakker, but Breakker catches him with a spear and lands one on Woods from the outside. He gets in the ring and lands a spear on Jey, then holds up the Intercontinental Championship.

Then Sheamus makes his way to the ring. Pete Dunne follows.

The bell rings and Sheamus wastes no time raining down Dunne with right hands in the corner. Dunne lands a kick to Sheamus’ thigh, but Sheamus reverses him with a clothesline. He targets Dunne’s mouth with a shillelagh, then delivers an Alabama slam, catapulting him out of the ring.

Sheamus tries to land a Brogue Kick on Dunne, but Dunne avoids it and climbs on top of him, hitting a barrel on the outside. He then lands a tornado DDT of one and hits him with a boot to the side of Sheamus’ head, but Sheamus does a powerslam that sends him crashing into the spine of the announce table first.

Back from the break, Dunne wears Sheamus down with the shillelagh. Sheamus grabs the shillelagh and slams it across Dunne’s midsection, then prepares for “The Ten Beats of the Bodhran.” Dunne dodges but Sheamus catches him with an Irish Curse backbreaker. The two then land on some of the barrels on the outside and Sheamus delivers the Ten Strikes of the Bodhran to Dunne. He then connects with White Noise via two tables set up underneath them and throws Dunne back into the ring.

Sheamus lands the Celtic Cross on Dunne and goes for a pin, but Dunne kicks out. Dunne hits Sheamus across the back with a cricket bat and goes for a pin, but Sheamus knocks him out. He grabs a drawer from the top of the ringside bar and hits Sheamus with it, then ties Sheamus’ hands behind his back and boots him in the face. He goes for a pin but Sheamus manages to kick him out.

Dunne grabs the cricket bat and tries to hit Sheamus with it, but Sheamus catches him with two Brogue Kicks for the win.

Winner: Sheamus

The Unholy Union then makes its way to the ring. Following are Pure Fusion Collective, Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, Natalya, Lyra Valkyria and Zelina Vega.

Carter and Zoey Stark begin the action. The bell rings and Stark runs over Carter. Then everyone starts arguing with each other. Chance and Carter fly to level Stark, Isla Dawn and Shayna Baszler. Natalya tries to follow suit, but Sonya Deville trips her as she runs over the ropes, sending her crashing onto the ring steps.

Back from the break, Vega tags in and hits Stark in the middle. She follows with a scissor kick and a hurricanrana off the middle rope, but Stark catches her with a superkick. Vega hits a moonsault off the ropes and pins Stark, but the fall is broken. Valkyria and Deville then take turns and Valkyria counters with a leg drop to the back of Deville’s head for the win.

Winners: Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, Natalya, Lyra Valkyria and Zelina Vega

Then Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring. GÜNTHER follows.

The doorbell rings and the two lock up. They take turns wearing each other down with submissions, but Zayn throws GUNTHER out of the ring and tries to fly. GUNTHER sees him coming, but Zayn stops his momentum before he hits something.

Back from the break, GUNTHER drapes Zayn over the top turnbuckle and lands a punch on his chest. Zayn tries to fly away, but GÜNTHER catches him with a punch to the chest and lands a second punch on him. He lands three boots to Zayn’s jaw, but Zayn responds with a kick to GUNTHER’s jaw and tries to land a Blue Thunder Bomb.

GUNTHER blocks Zayn and attacks him with a sleeper, but Zayn quickly escapes. GUNTHER attacks Zayn again, but Zayn escapes again and sends him crashing to the mat with a spinning sit-out powerbomb.

Back from another break, GUNTHER sends Zayn to the mat and connects with a pair of chops. The action spills out of the ring and Zayn counters with a back body drop on GUNTHER. He follows with an exploder into the barricade and a Helluva Kick, then throws GUNTHER back into the ring and follows him in.

Zayn goes for a Helluva Kick on GUNTHER and tries to land a second one, but GUNTHER sees him coming and clotheslines him to the floor. He goes for a pin but Zayn kicks out. Zayn rolls GUNTHER up, but GUNTHER kicks out and dropkicks Zayn into the corner. He then uses a powerbomb and tries for a pin himself, but Zayn kicks out.

GUNTHER lands another powerbomb on Zayn and pins him, but Zayn quickly kicks out and gets riled up. GUNTHER then catches a sleeper on Zayn and Zayn disappears.

Winner (and still): GUNTHER

After the match, Cody Rhodes’ music hits and he makes his way to the ring to stare at GUNTHER before their match at WWE Crown Jewel as the show winds down.
