Meet the GRAMMY voters making an impact at the 2025 GRAMMYs: Troye Sivan, Lainey Wilson, Coco Jones, Mickey Guyton and more

With First round voting for the 2025 GRAMMYs Officially opened today, Friday, October 4th, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. reminded voting members once again of the critical role they play in shaping the future of music through their GRAMMY votes. As the leader of the world’s leading community of music professionals, Mason Jr. continues to underscore the responsibility GRAMMY voters have in selecting the next class of GRAMMY nominees – artists and creators who are changing the sonic landscape of today’s music industry.

The upcoming 2025 GRAMMYs, officially known as the 67th GRAMMY Awards, will take place Sunday, February 2ndlive at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The 2025 GRAMMYs honor the best in music and First Round Voting begins the annual voting process for the GRAMMY Awards. During the first round of voting, which takes place by Friday, October 4th to Tuesday, October 15thVoting members will cast their votes to determine the overall GRAMMY nominees 94 categories will be awarded at the 2025 GRAMMYs. Nominations for the 2025 GRAMMYs will be announced Friday, November 8, 2024.

In a message sent to voting members of the Recording Academy this week, which you can read in full below, Mason Jr. said. reflected on the immense power of GRAMMY voters and how their voices highlight individual achievements, shape trends and drive creative innovation in the global music industry. He encourages members to vote with care and integrity, knowing that their GRAMMY votes have a lasting impact on careers, the global music industry and the cultural legacy of the GRAMMY Awards.

Dear voting members,

Another season of GRAMMY Vote is here and I’m excited to share it with you The first round of voting officially begins this Friday, October 4th.

During this time, I reflect on the power of our collective voice as voting members of the Recording Academy and the unique light our awards shed on music’s ability to shape the world and connect people around the world. Every voice can shape the future of music, empower creators and spark innovation. It’s a 67-year legacy that has endured well beyond Music’s Biggest Night.

You are the last heard from me this summer as I encouraged you to vote intentionally during this GRAMMY season. With the first round of voting just days away, I want to remind you that your decisions have the power to shape your career and life. It is your responsibility to those around you to vote with intention, pride and purpose. Your fellow creators in the music industry are counting on you.

So, join me and do your part: VOTE. Once you’ve cast your vote, download our social toolkit and inspire your colleagues to make their voice heard by sharing on social media.

On October 4th, your ballot will be available on your member dashboard and in the My Academy Hub appavailable to download on iPhone and Android. Please open and read early, take the time to listen to your colleagues’ contributions, and cast your vote to determine this year’s GRAMMY nominees and winners. The deadline to cast your votes is October 15 at 6:00 p.m. PT.
