The Boston Celtics remain undefeated in the preseason and beat the Denver Nuggets 130-104 in Abu Dhabi

The Boston Celtics remain undefeated in the preseason after defeating the Denver Nuggets 130-104 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi behind a 21-point win from star Celtics forward Jaylen Brown. In the second of two exhibition games that Boston played in the United Arab Emirates in the 2024/25 preseason, both ball clubs looked better than in their first game of the preseason last Friday.

Jayson Tatum (17 points) and Derrick White (13 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists) stood out among the starters in a game that began as a closer matchup, but in which the second unit defense in particular stretched wide early in the game blew up second half.

The Celtics’ bench was also more productive than in the first preseason: Sam Hauser (15 points, 8 rebounds) found his beat, Payton Pritchard (14 points, 5 assists) continued to shine on the bench and Xavier Tillman Sr. (10 points) stood out from the reserve.

We also saw flashes from Neemias Queta (7 points, 2 assists, a steal and a block) and Jaden Springer (6 points).

The Celtics will take a short break as they return to North America to take on the Philadelphia 76ers next Saturday, October 12th at 8:00 PM ET at TD Garden. Normal tip times will return with the game in the home team’s time zone.
