American Airlines passengers are forced to intervene when a man becomes violent toward a woman in first class

Passengers on an American Airlines flight intervened after a man reportedly became violent toward his female travel companion in first class.

Footage of the incident posted on social media showed several passengers and stewards gathered around the front row seats of the plane flying from Florida to North Carolina on Wednesday.

The incident is the latest in aircraft misconduct, and videos of the interactions often go viral.

In the video, three men leaned over the seat to confront the man, with one shouting, “Don’t f***ing touch her.” The man appears to protest before another man responds, “I don’t give a fuck.

“Look at me, you motherfucker…Get your damn hands off her right now,” he screamed. “If you touch her again you’ll be fucking arrested.”

It is not clear what sparked the argument between the two travelers, but the woman can be heard claiming she put her hand over the man’s mouth to stop him from talking.

The woman is asked by other passengers if she is OK before being asked to move to an empty seat away from the man.

The alleged attacker loudly asserts that he was attacked by the woman and claims that she slapped him, according to the recordings.

“No, you were not attacked,” the woman replies. “I put my hand over your mouth to make you shut up.”

The flight – from Miami to Charlotte – reportedly landed 26 minutes early and Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers were waiting at the airport.

Pictures showed officers entering the cabin before the passengers got out. The names of the people involved have not been released. It is unclear whether charges have been filed.

According to American Airlines, officers escorted the couple off the plane and then collected witness statements from fellow passengers.

“Our top priority is the safety of crew and our customers, and we take these matters very seriously,” American Airlines said in a statement on X.

A company spokesperson later added, “Two customers traveling together were involved in an altercation aboard American Airlines Flight 310 flying from Miami (MIA) to Charlotte (CLT) on October 2.”

“Local law enforcement responded and escorted the customers from CLT Airport. We do not tolerate violence and thank our team members for their professionalism in handling a difficult situation.”
