Kurashev with goal and assist for the Blackhawks

Connor Bedard had three assists for the Chicago Blackhawks in their win over the St. Louis Blues at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. Bedard, who was awarded the Calder Trophy as NHL rookie of the year last season, ended the preseason with six points (one goal, five assists) in four games. Ryan Donato, Philipp Kurashev, Nolan Allen and Frank Nazar each scored a goal and had an assist for the Blackhawks. Dalibor Dvorsky and Scott Perunovich scored the goals for St. Louis. Mathieu Joseph receives two assists for the Blues. Vadim Zherenko conceded six goals on 22 shots in two periods before being replaced by Joel Hofer (four saves).

Nashville Predators – Carolina Hurricanes 3:5

Eric Robinson scored the game-winning goal for the Carolina Hurricanes in their win over the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville with 2:29 minutes remaining in the third period. He tapped a cross pass from Felix Unger Sorum into the goal and then scored the final score a minute before the end of the game. Josiah Slavin, Bradly Nadeau and Sam Gagner also scored for Carolina. Goaltender Frederik Andersen conceded two goals on 31 shots in two periods before being replaced by Spencer Martin, who allowed one goal on 12 shots. For the Predators, Tommy Novak scored a goal and added two assists. Mark Jankowski and Cole Smith also scored goals. Goalie Juuse Saros stopped all 12 shots he faced in the first period before being replaced by Scott Wedgewood, who allowed four goals on 16 shots. Captain Roman Josi was on the ice for 23:48 minutes for the Predators.
