Get the fryers going!

The Krabby Patty meal will be available at your local Wendy’s on October 8th, but only for a limited time. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of “SpongeBob SquarePants,” the fast food chain is launching its Krabby Patty Kollab, complete with its signature version of the iconic Krabby Patty, french fries and a Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty.

What could be better than giving a smile? Starting next week, fans can finally try the legendary Krabby Patty that we loved Performance for decades since the popular Nickelodeon show first aired in 1999. Columbus-based Wendy’s is bringing the concept to life in restaurants across the country.

“It makes sense that two of pop culture’s most iconic spots are joining forces to bring fans of all ages a taste of this unique, limited-time experience to life!” Lindsay Radkoski, US chief marketing officer for Wendy’s, said in a press release this week .

While we don’t know the secret formula yet, here’s what you should know about Wendy’s Krabby Patty meal.

People Order Our Patties: What’s in the Wendy’s SpongeBob meal?

According to Wendy’s, here are the menu items in the Krabby Patty Kollab:

  • Pineapple under the frosty sea: A combination of Wendy’s Vanilla Frosty and a pineapple mango flavored puree swirl.
  • Krabby Patty Collab Burger: Wendy’s take on a Krabby Patty consists of a quarter pound of Wendy’s beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion and a top-secret Krabby Kolab sauce on a toasted bun. It is compared to Dave’s Single Cheeseburger from Wendy’s, but unlike the original Krusty Krab version, Wendy’s replica has a square patty.

When will Wendy’s SpongeBob Krabby Patty Kollab be released?

For a limited time, the chain will debut the Krabby Patty Kollab menu on October 8 at participating Wendy’s nationwide and on the Wendy’s app.

“You like Krabby Patties, don’t you, California?” …”

You don’t need a license to catch a sandwich. If you want to try the new dish for yourself, there are 298 locations to choose from in California, including 11 in San Diego, eight in Fresno, six in Bakersfield and five stores in Riverside.

I am (not) ready

While many SpongeBob lovers are looking forward to the Krabby Patty Kollab meal, other fans criticized the launch, pointing out that it contradicts the wishes of the late Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of “SpongeBob SquarePants” who passed away in 2018.

A 2004 New York Times article said: “Mr. Hillenburg has no problem with candy and ice cream… But Mr. Hillenburg has problems with fast food, which is full of hidden additives,” the article explained before publication of the first SpongeBob movie.
