Getting started with the New York Mobile ID is straightforward. Users can download the app from the App Store or Google Play, register their phone number, and upload images of their physical ID. A quick selfie is taken to verify the user’s identity against DMV records. Once verification is complete, the MiD is ready for use, both in New York and in other states and countries where it is accepted.
