Is LSU playing today? Tigers Week 6 college football schedule

LSU football has a week to prepare for its first conference game against a ranked opponent this season.

After a 42-10 win over South Alabama, the No. 12 Tigers (4-1, 1-0 SEC) have Week 6 off before hosting No. 11 Ole Miss (4-1, 0-1), which enters South Carolina is on the road after losing a home game 20-17 to Kentucky.

True freshman running back Caden Durham had a breakout game against the Jaguars and will certainly be a key part of the Tigers’ game plan in the two weeks leading up to their Ole Miss matchup, assuming he is healthy for the game. The former four-star recruit hauled in seven carries for 128 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 89 yards and another score.

Regardless, the Tigers may face a test in their first ranked conference game of the season.

Is LSU playing today?

No, LSU has paused in Week 6 of the 2024 college football season, giving the Tigers two weeks to prepare for their upcoming game against Ole Miss in Week 7.

The Tigers have one more bye week this season: Saturday, Nov. 2, a week before they host No. 2 Alabama on Nov. 9.
