Navy and Air Force odds, tips and predictions

The Navy midshipmen (4-0) and Luftwaffe Falcons (1-3) meet on Saturday at Falcon Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET (CBS/Paramount+). Below we analyze the college football odds from BetMGM Sportsbook Navy vs. Air Force Opportunitiesand make our college football picks and predictions.

Navy is off to a perfect 4-0 start this season after a decisive 41-18 win over UAB, and is the clear favorite by 4.5 points, surpassing the 56-point total. QB Blake Horvath had an outstanding game in which he completed 9 of 11 passes for 225 yards with 2 touchdowns and led the team in rushing with 84 yards and a score on 13 carries.

The defense stepped up and limited UAB to just 18 points. With Navy averaging 46 points per game but allowing 23.5, its 68th-ranked defense needs to step up to maintain its winning streak.

Air Force started strong with a 21-6 win over Merrimack in its opener, but has struggled since then. As 4-point favorites, they lose 31-19 in Wyoming on September 28th. The offense has been disappointing, scoring a total of just 41 points in the last three games.

QB John Busha completed 6 of 13 passes for 115 yards while RB Aiden Calvert rushed for 54 yards and a TD. With an average of just 12.5 points per game (131st in the country) and a defense that allows 21.3 points (49th), Air Force needs a strong performance to turn its season around.

Navy and Air Force Selections and Predictions

forecast

Navy 24, Air Force 10

Money line

HAPPEN.

Navy (-375) will win and cover Saturday as the clear favorite, which is why I’m putting my bet on the spread.

Against the spread

BET MARINE -10 (-110).

While the Falcons will undoubtedly bring their rivalry spirit to the game, their recent struggles cannot be overlooked. Having scored just two goals in their last 10 games, they are in a downward spiral.

On the other hand, the Midshipmen are tops with three straight coverages and have one of the best offenses in college football.

Even though the Air Force has had success against the Navy in recent years, this matchup feels different. The underdog has performed well in the past, but given the Air Force’s current situation MARINE -10 (-110) looks like a solid bet for a decisive away win.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 36.5 (-105).

It’s that time again – Service Academy Unders!

Betting on the under when the Navy and Air Force meet has been a bonanza, with a record of 44-9-1 (83%) in the last 54 meetings between military academies. Sure, a trend alone isn’t enough to justify a bet, but the reasoning behind it is solid.

Both teams rely heavily on run-first offenses that eat up time and are built to stop each other’s style of play. Over the past three seasons, these games have averaged 37.5 points, but have only scored 24 points overall. Even with odds of 36.5, it is still worth betting on “Under”.
