WNBA Playoffs bracket 2024: Schedule, results for semifinals

Top-seeded Liberty won Game 1 87-77 and then won Game 2 88-84 to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series. Sabrina Ionescu was the standout player in this series, leading the offense in the postseason with averages of 24.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and six assists. The Liberty are seeking their first-ever WNBA championship title. They have made it to the WNBA Finals five times, most recently in 2023 where they lost to the Las Vegas Aces.

In the other half of the game, the Connecticut Sun narrowly defeated the Minnesota Lynx with a thrilling 73-70 win in Game 1, thanks to an impressive performance from Marina Mabrey, who scored 20 points. However, the Lynx staged a comeback and secured a 77-70 win in Game 2 at Target Center, evening the series against the Sun.
