Rascal Flatts reunite for 25th anniversary “Life is a Highway” tour

Rascal Flatts will tour in 2025, five years after they announced and then canceled their last tour due to the pandemic.

The multi-platinum country trio’s 21-day concert Life is a highway The tour begins February 13th at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. Lauren Alaina and Chris Lane are the opening acts.

“In 2020, we announced the farewell tour after touring extensively for 20 years,” the band said in a statement. “To put it simply, we needed a break. Then COVID came and our plans, like the rest of the world, came to a screeching halt. Since then we have been able to reflect on our unique and special experience as a band and are ready to go on tour again. It’s hard to believe that next year will be Rascal Flatts’ 25th anniversary and this seemed like the perfect time to get back in front of the fans who have given us so much.”

The group originally announced Rascal Flatts Farewell: Life Is a Highway Tour during an appearance in January 2020 on CBS This MorningThey said it was the perfect way to celebrate what was then her 20th birthdayTh Anniversary.

“We make music and that’s what we do,” Jay DeMarcus said CBS This Morning in 2020. “Maybe we’ll do it again together one day. We’re not going to sign a pact that says we’ll never tour again… We all still love each other, but we make music, and we’ll probably make music individually or together.”

Formed in 2000, the band scored hits such as “Prayin’ for Daylight,” “Bless the Broken Road” and “What Hurts the Most” and peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. From 2003 to 2008, they won the CMA Awards Vocal Group of the Year six years in a row.

There is no word on whether the band plans to record new music or extend the tour beyond the original 21 dates.

Tickets go on sale on Friday (October 4) at 10 a.m. local time.
