Shania Twain’s favorite modern country artist conquers Texas with famous friends

When Shania Twain names you her new favorite modern country artist, that’s something to be proud of.

The country music star and People’s Choice Country Awards host recently told Taste of Country that her favorite artist who is “new to the genre right now” is “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” singer Shaboozey.

“His music and videos just make me smile,” Twain said. “I just want to be able to tell him in person.”

As host of the awards show, which begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 26 and airs on NBC, Twain will certainly have better access to the stars in attendance, like Shaboozey. The rising musician is nominated for several of the show’s awards, including New Artist of the Year 2024, Album of the Year 2024 and Song of the Year 2024.

But those who can’t attend the show in Nashville, Tennessee, have countless chances to see Shaboozey live in concert in the Lone Star State in fall 2024.

The “Horses & Hellcats” artist is in the lineup for musician Ryan Bingham’s “The Great Western” concert experience at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on Saturday, October 12th. Other artists set to perform at the event include Tanya Tucker, Shane Smith & The Saints and Bingham of course.

Shaboozey will also be touring with Grammy-nominated artist Jelly Roll, who will play three shows across Texas in November. The first will take place on November 17th at the Toyota Center in Houston, the second on November 18th at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi and the third on November 19th at the Moody Center in Austin.

But Shaboozey isn’t the only notable name Jelly Roll is bringing to the road. The “Need a Favour” singer has also hired country artists Ernest and Allie Colleen for the tour.
