Seattle Storm first-rounder Nika Muhl was seen off the court on a stretcher Thursday after suffering an apparent knee injury in the FIBA SuperCup Women’s title game.

Muhl, who was playing for Besiktas JK against Fenerbahçe SK in Turkey, was suffering from a rebound when her left leg gave way on the pitch. She grabbed her knee in immediate pain while everyone on the court looked worried.

The injury, which occurred three minutes into the third quarter, prompted coaches to rush to help Muhl. However, the audience and broadcast heard how painful the injury was.

As both teams shook hands after the game, Fenerbahçe players went to Muhl to offer their support.

That included Gabby Williams, who played with Muhl on the Storm this season. Muhl was seen with tears in his eyes after a hug with Williams.

It was discovered that Muhl had suffered a torn ACL, which ended her first season abroad early. Besitkas JK announced that Muhl will join the team for the 2024-2025 season in the KBSL.
