Jennifer Aniston gets emotional about the death of her father Kris Kristofferson on a late-night talk show

Jennifer Aniston on Wednesday praised the late Kris Kristofferson, who played her father in a 2009 film, while promoting her children’s book on a late-night talk show.

The 55-year-old Hollywood star appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live in a sleeveless black leather dress with a short skirt and received high praise from the Hollywood studio audience as she took the stage.

Jimmy, 56, admitted he didn’t want to dampen the mood, but began the interview by asking Jennifer about her experience working with Kristofferson, who died Saturday at age 88.

“I was actually lucky enough to direct my first short film and surprisingly when we asked him he said yes. He and Robin Wright. And it was one of the most extraordinary experiences I have ever had,” said Jennifer.

“How was that? “Did you have him in mind for the role?” asked Jimmy.

‘Yes. It was an older man who lost his wife at that time. …It’s a long story. “You can find it online,” Jennifer quipped.

Jennifer added that Kristofferson played an older man saying goodbye to his wife in the hospital during her final days.

“And he broke our hearts,” Jennifer said of his performance.

“He was extraordinary. Really,” she added. “What a kind man.”

“You made a movie with him too, right?” Jimmy asked.

“Yeah, then he played my dad, he’s just not that into you,” Jennifer said.

Jimmy shared a still of Jennifer and Kristofferson in the 2009 romantic comedy, which also starred Ben Affleck, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, Bradley Cooper and Scarlett Johansson.

Jennifer revealed that they had become friends and Kristofferson and his wife had flown in for her 40th birthday party.
