“Chicago PD Cast Misses Tracy Spiridakos After Season Premiere”

Season 12 of Chicago PD is finally underway and even though Tracy Spiridakos is no longer a member of the cast, the star took to social media to celebrate the occasion!

On September 25, the actress who brought Hailey Upton to life for so many years shared a photo on Instagram to celebrate the new season, as well as a heartfelt message to the cast and crew of the show she once called home.

“Happy Chicago PD premiere day! Best wishes to the cast and crew and a big welcome to the new cast. I love you all. Everyone tune in tonight! #chicagopd,” Spiridakos captioned.

Spirdakos’ comfortable-looking blue sweatshirt matched her eyes perfectly and made for a perfect selfie.

Although Spiridakos left the series after Season 11, we know that a big part of her will always be closely tied to the One Chicago family. Of course, it helps when her former co-stars invade Spiridakos’ Instagram comments section to let her know that she is truly missed.

“I miss you Tracle✨ #StayUpton,” commented LaRoyce Hawkins, who has portrayed Kevin Atwater for over a decade.

Patrick John Flueger — who sported a new hair color as Detective Adam Ruzek in Season 12 — agreed with a charming compliment: “You look beautiful because the day is new, Tracil!”

Our favorite message, however, came from none other than Marina Squerciati, fresh from her bridesmaid duties at Torrey DeVitto’s wedding: “OMG I MISS YOU,” she wrote lovingly.

As every fan knows, all good things must come to an end — and Spiridakos’ run as Hailey Upton came to a satisfying end after Season 11. And as fans can imagine, the decision to leave the show after eight seasons wasn’t easy!

“It was a really hard decision and I don’t know if there’s ever a right time,” said the 36-year-old NBC Insider in May. “I think I’ve been on the show for a little over seven years, about seven and a half years, and I just wanted to switch off and see what else was out there. That was really it. I’m very close to everyone. It was certainly a really difficult and emotional time.

Judging by the kind words of her former co-stars, Spiridakos left a starry-eyed void in the cast that will never be forgotten.
