Trouble is brewing after the Eagles star joins Rival To Roast Teammate

The Philadelphia Eagles certainly have a lot of work to do over the next two weeks.

Philadelphia is 2-2 on the young season and is now in its bye week. The Eagles have an extra week to prepare for their Week 6 game against the Cleveland Browns, and at this point it seems like they need it.

The Eagles are not healthy right now. Superstar receiver AJ Brown missed time due to a hamstring injury, DeVonta Smith missed time due to a concussion and Lane Johnson also missed time due to a concussion, among other issues.

All in all, the 2024 season didn’t start the way the Eagles had hoped. Another thing that doesn’t help when on-field performance isn’t what the team wants is infighting. Eagles star cornerback Darius Slay joined Dallas Cowboys superstar Micah Parson’s podcast “The Edge With Micah Parsons” and discussed safety CJ Gardner-Johnson.

“Eight will bring the noise, Eight will bring the energy, Eight will bring all the nonsense talk that half the team doesn’t do,” Slay said. “So he fills that need for us. He’s a guy with a lot of energy. He’ll talk this nonsense, but if you want to talk, you have to back it up at some point. And if you don’t. We don’t know for sure whether the media will notice.

Slay’s words weren’t all that harsh, but the fact that he joined a player on a podcast from one of the Eagles’ biggest rivals to talk about a teammate just days after a loss is a harsh thing. Hopefully the Eagles can sort everything out.
