Slovan Bratislava 0-4 Man City: “A dream come true” – Foden and McAtee

Manchester City’s Phil Foden speaks to TNT Sports after scoring in the 4-0 win against Slovan Bratislava:

“I don’t think it was easy. It was difficult to beat them and we have to show them respect. The atmosphere was incredible. We did the job.”

“I had more chances to score and so did a few of the other guys. I’m happy with 4-0, but we could have had a few more.”

“It’s nice to be out there again and scoring points. I feel good now. Slow start to the season after the European Championships, but I’m slowly getting there.”

About playing in the Champions League after coming through Man City’s academy: “It’s a dream come true. We worked hard for it. Macca (James McAtee) has had a few loan spells and he’s doing really well. “He’s a talented kid so we’re going to need him in every game this season,” so he has to be ready.

“After the draw in the last game, we had to get the win. Our goal is to finish in the top half, so we are on the right track now.”

James McAtee speaks after scoring his first goal in the Champions League: “I’m dying to score, I would have had five minutes later, but I’m happy to get one. Every child dreams of this, a dream come true.”

“It was a tough year for me last year, so I think it’s good to be back and playing under the best coach in the world.”
