Six people have died in a suspected terrorist attack in Tel Aviv during an Iranian missile attack

TEL AVIV — At least six people were killed and seven others injured in a shooting Tuesday evening in Tel Aviv, Israel, according to a statement from Israel’s police spokesperson unit.

The authorities suspect terror as the motive for the incident. The two suspected shooters were killed, the Israeli police spokesman said.

Large police forces are on site and are carrying out extensive searches for further threats.

Two of the injured were in critical condition, two were in moderate condition and one was slightly injured, the Israeli emergency service spokesman said.

The shooting occurred on Yerushalayim Street in Tel Aviv.

The shooting occurred shortly before a large missile was launched from Iran into Israel. According to a senior US government official, about 250 rockets were to be fired at four targets in Israel, including central Israel.
