Today is not just any Taco Tuesday.

It’s National Taco Day. This is thanks to Taco Bell and the National Day Calendar, which moves the foodie holiday to the first Tuesday in October, ensuring that Taco Tuesday always falls on a Tuesday.

Until 2024, National Taco Day was October 4th on the National Day Calendar, a company that promotes recognition of products and causes for businesses, groups and other organizations.

Taco Bell $1 Tacos

To celebrate this year, Taco Bell is offering $1 tacos for 10 hours on October 1st.

The chain is keeping the celebration going all month long, offering deals every Tuesday including the chance to score exclusive merchandise, free tacos for a year and a VIP visit to Taco Bell’s Test Kitchen to sample innovations.

On October 22, Taco Bell will serve select items for $1 each, including Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Cantina Chicken Soft Taco, Cheese Quesadilla, Burrito Supreme, Beefy 5 Layer Burrito, Regular Nacho Fries, DLT Supreme and Chalupa.

These tacos are $1 each at Taco Bell on October 1st, National Taco Day

On October 1, Rewards members can purchase a different Taco Bell taco for $1 every hour from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (10,000 of each taco available).

  • 10am – Crunchy Taco
  • 11am – Double Stacked Taco
  • 12pm – Chalupa Supreme
  • 1pm – Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos
  • 2 p.m. – Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco
  • 3pm – Cantina Chicken Soft Taco
  • 4 p.m. – Soft Taco Supreme
  • 5pm – Cheesy Gordita Crunch
  • 6 p.m. – Crunchy Taco Supreme
  • 7pm – Soft Taco

On October 8, five rewards members can win trips to Taco Bell’s new headquarters and test kitchen in Irvine, California, in January 2025.

On October 15 at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, 500 Rewards members will be selected to receive a free Taco Bell Soft or Crunchy Taco Reward in their app every Taco Tuesday for a year.

On October 22, Taco Bell will serve select items for $1 each, including Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Cantina Chicken Soft Taco, Cheese Quesadilla, Burrito Supreme, Beefy 5 Layer Burrito, Regular Nacho Fries, DLT Supreme and Chalupa.

On October 29th at 11 a.m. Eastern Time, Taco Bell will be giving away 500 hoodie and mug packs featuring designs that reflect the brand’s aesthetic throughout the years.

Most offers are open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states or the District of Columbia, 21 years of age or older, and members in good standing of the Taco Bell Rewards program as of September 26, 2024.

Agave & Rye is offering a Taco Tuesday special all day

Guests can get OG Margaritas and Bourbon Peach Punch for $7.75, as well as domestic canned beer for $2.50. Taco specials include Plane Jane for $4, Bee’s Knees for $4.50; $5 Bang Bang, $5.50 Alderman, $4.75 Chips & Queso and $15 Pick 3 Chips & Dip.

Bubbakoo’s Burritos customers can receive a $5 digital meal deal (via app or online) on October 1st. The meal consists of two simple tacos (soft or hard shell) with chicken, beef or pork and a side of chips and salsa.

Chuy’s $1 Tacos on October 1st and 4th

Chuy’s customers can add a ground beef taco (crispy or soft) to any entrée for $1 more and receive a tequila floater for $1 to top off a margarita with an extra shot of tequila.

Chips ‘N’ Dips are also available for $5 during happy hour.

Anyone who comes in dressed as a taco and posts photos on social media with #ChuysTacoDay will receive a free entree of their choice for dinner.

From October 1-10, guests who are Condado Rewards members can receive a free taco of their choice with a purchase of equal or greater value. Guests must opt-in to receive text messages to receive offer.

Customers can order four tacos for $8 on October 1st. Through October 25th, customers can get two fish tacos for $5.

Double points on Qdoba Taco Day

Qdoba Rewards members can earn double points on all purchases from October 1st to October 3rd.

Through October 13, guests can get bottomless tacos (pulled chicken tinga or seasoned ground beef) for $10 at On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina. Guests can upgrade to bottomless brisket or Southwest chicken tacos for an additional $3.

Taco John’s Rewards members can receive a free Beef Stuffed Grilled Taco with any purchase on October 1st. Rewards members will also receive a new offer every Wednesday throughout October.
