Frank Fritz from “American Pickers” dies at the age of 60

Frank Fritz, one of the founders of LeClaire’s Antique Archeology and a member of American pickersHe died at age 58, according to the Quad City Times.

Frank gained national notoriety through the History Channel show that grew out of the store in LeClaire where he worked with Mike Wolfe.

In 2022, it was reported that Frank suffered a stroke and has since recovered. The Quad City Times reported that Frank has spent the last few months in a hospice facility in the Quad Cities area.

According to a post by administrator Annette Oberland Willows in his fan group on Facebook, Mike Wolfe was able to get back from Nashville in time to be there with Frank.

This is a very difficult announcement because Frank died last night around 7:30 p.m. He was surrounded by me. Mike Wolfe came back here at high speed from Nashville and other friends. Please understand that this is a very difficult time for us. Including Mike, so be kind while we try to figure out how to deal with this. Thank you all for your love and support over the years.

The last few years since his departure from American pickers, Frank ran Frank Fritz Finds in Savanna, a collection of sprawling buildings displaying cool finds he found along the way picker and alone.

Frank was 60.
