Monday Night Football: Seahawks vs. Lions 1st Quarter Game Thread

The first real test for the Seattle Seahawks is here. We have an away game on Monday night against a presumed Super Bowl contender: the Detroit Lions. Both teams are dealing with multiple injuries to key starters, but overall the Seahawks are more affected as they are missing many defensive linemen and outside linebackers.

If the Seahawks win against the Lions for the fourth straight time, it will be a guarantee that they will remain in first place heading into their Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers. If they lose, it’s not the end of the world. What I want most is cleaner play on offense and a level of commitment on defense that suggests they can successfully overcome a variety of injuries under a new head coach.

ABC and ESPN+ will simulcast this game at 5:15 p.m. PT. This thread is online earlier than normal so you can talk about the Titans-Dolphins game on ESPN, which airs at 4:30 p.m.
