Liam Hemsworth finally talks about taking on the role of Geralt from Henry Cavill

Liam Hemsworth talks about taking over from Henry Cavill The Witcher. Cavill played the main role of Geralt in The Witcher for the beginning of the series before leaving the show afterwards The Witcher Season 3. After his retirement as Geralt, Cavill was replaced by Hemsworth. According to some fans, his replacement was highly controversial The Witcher felt that Cavill was an irreplaceable element of the show.

I hadn’t seen the TV show. And I hadn’t read the books. But I played the video game like ten years ago or something. And it remains one of the best video games of all time to this day. And Netflix came to me almost two years ago and said they wanted me to just step in and take over.

I was really excited about taking on this character since I was a fan of the video game. But I said, you know, let me watch the TV show and the books and really get into it.

I’ve been filming a series called The Witcher for the last nine months. We were (in Wales) for two weeks. And the first week was beautiful sunshine and blue skies. And then the second week was kind of like tornado season.
