Laurence Fishburne was on the set of The Witcher for the first time as he filmed scenes with co-star Liam Hemsworth in North Wales.

The 63-year-old Matrix star announced earlier this year that he had joined the Netflix series and would play Regis, a hairdresser with a dark and uncertain past.

Laurence wore a long cape over an outfit with gold buckles and a whimsical gray wig for his role in the fantasy drama.

Meanwhile Chris, who replaced Henry CavilAs the main protagonist of the Geralt of Rivia series in 2022, he wore his character’s infamous black costume and flowing blonde hairpiece.

The couple braved the cold weather and wind as they filmed scenes on a wooden boat moored on a lake.

When news of his casting in season four was announced, Laurence said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the cast and look forward to exploring the wondrous world of The Witcher.”

He is best known for his roles in the Matrix series and was nominated for an Oscar in 1993 for his role as Tina Turner’s abusive husband Ike in What’s Love Got to Do with It.

“The Witcher” is based on the book series of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski.

The show centers on Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter by nature, who seeks to bring peace to the land while navigating his complex relationships with Crown Princess Cirilla of Cintra and the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg.

Liam’s initial replacement of Henry initially proved unpopular with die-hard viewers.
Netflix announced earlier this year that Liam would see the series through to the end after announcing it would end with the upcoming fifth season.

While Henry’s unexpected recasting was met with skepticism from fans, the show’s producers have pulled out all the stops to ensure Hemsworth’s introduction as Geralt of Rivia goes as smoothly as possible.

And a filming schedule earlier this year suggested that their latest attempt to cover up the gaps was to revisit Henry’s iconic fight scenes from season three with the feared wizard Vilgefortz of Roggeveen.

Geralt was seriously wounded by Vilgefortz in a battle on the beach during the attack on Stygga, a scene that appeared to be recreated for a possible Season 4 flashback scene.

In fact, Liam was joined by Vilgefortz actor Mahesh Jadu for a fight scene on a cordoned-off stretch of Devon coast while his stunt double Joel Adrien waited to be called into action.

It is believed that the scenes could either be a throwback to the moment from earlier in the series or that the new season could begin right where the last one left off.

The Australian actor wrote at the time that he was “overjoyed at the opportunity” to play the famous monster hunter.

“I am honored to have him hand over the reins to me and allow me to take up the blades of the White Wolf for the next chapter of his adventure,” he wrote of Cavill.

No release date for The Witcher season 4 has been announced yet, but it is expected to hit screens sometime in 2025.
