Mark Cuban warned Elon Musk against supporting Donald Trump in a social media post on Sunday as the online feud between the two billionaires continues.

Musk, who supports the GOP candidate and has founded a pro-Trump super PAC, reiterated his sentiments in a post on Sunday morning.

“Very few Americans know that if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election,” Musk wrote.

In response, Cuban called Musk a “loyal, loyal soldier” to Trump and warned that his loyalty is not always rewarded.

“Elon, there will come a time when you need something from Donald Trump. You will think you have earned the right to ask and receive. You were a loyal, loyal soldier for him. “You have backed him politically with tens of millions of dollars,” he wrote. “Then, when you need him most, you will find out what so many have learned before you: His loyalty is only to himself.”

Musk did not respond to Cuban’s post, but venture capitalist David Sacks, a Trump supporter and Musk fan, commented: “Classic case of projection. They describe how you think about politics.”

Cuban responded that what he said had “nothing to do with politics.”

Musk did not respond to Business Insider’s request for comment.

Cuban and Musk were locked in a months-long feud on X, mostly centered around political issues.

The back and forth between the two billionaires began back in January when Musk questioned Cuba’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

Musk and Cuban have been more vocal about their politics online lately as the election draws ever closer.

Cuban said he speaks regularly with Kamala Harris’ campaign and has become something of a surrogate, appearing on talk shows to advocate for her financial policies.

The Dallas Mavericks owner has even volunteered for a possible spot in the Harris administration.

“This is something I could do to make a difference,” he previously told BI.

Musk, on the other hand, has shown a rightward shift in his political stance in recent years.

After the first assassination attempt on Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania in July, Musk announced his support for the Republican candidate on X.

“I fully support President Trump and hope for his speedy recovery,” Musk wrote.

Cuban did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
