Deshaun Watson: We’re not doing enough, it starts with me

The Browns lost 20-16 to the Raiders on Sunday afternoon, but things might have turned out differently had quarterback Deshaun Watson made a big play with wide receiver Amari Cooper late in the first half.

Cooper was open, but Watson’s pass never arrived as it was completed under heavy pressure from Raiders defensive end Tyree Wilson. It was a third down and the cameras captured Watson after the game in an animated conversation with right tackle Dawand Jones, who was supposed to be blocking Wilson. After the game, Watson said the outburst was about “just trying to be great,” but the missed opportunity was the latest sign of how far from great the team was at 1-3 -The team got off to a great start.

Watson is right that these deficiencies are being saddled with him, but it’s unclear if the Browns can do anything to fix the problem.
