Winner: The Ravens Super Bowl Hype

Jackson has never performed particularly well against this Bills defense, which has focused on neutralizing him as a runner in recent games. But with Henry, a Bills’ bugbear throughout his career, standing next to Jackson in the Ravens’ backfield, that was difficult. This was Baltimore’s goal when it brought the 30-year-old back: to put less of a playful burden on Jackson in this offense. With Henry now leading the NFL in rushing following his dominant performance on Sunday night, it’s safe to say he provided that relief. But Lamar is still doing his part. The Ravens quarterback ranks ninth in the NFL in rushing with 308 yards. This isn’t just the best two-headed rushing attack in the league today – it might be the best we’ve ever seen. Jackson and Henry are on pace to achieve that goal with a combined 3,349 rushing yards this season.

In a best-case scenario, the Ravens could be the best in the NFL

Here, finally, was the team that beat the San Francisco 49ers on Christmas night and embarrassed the top-flight Miami Dolphins a week later. Of course the details were not identical. This blurry muscle and movement pattern with the number 22 was not visible in the team photo last season. But on Sunday night in Baltimore, facing the AFC’s best team yet, the Ravens reiterated that, at their best, they are just as dominant as anyone else.

…However, they again showed us the very real possibility that they could win the Super Bowl. The Ravens were that good.

NFL Week 4: Top questions, takeaways for every game

Alaina Getzenberg, ESPN

“After collecting more than 30 points in the first three games, this was a relative no-show. The Bills’ streak of 41 consecutive regular-season games in which they scored more than 10 points ended, the longest active streak in the NFL. The offense took the lead 2:11 into the third and Allen completed 16 of 29 passes (55.2%), below his 75% average to start the season. The offensive line had a tough night, with Allen being pressured on 44.1% of throws and being sacked three times, after two sacks on the season.”

PLAYER OF THE MATCH

Tonight belonged to Derrick Henry, starting with his team’s very first play.

The Ravens running back dominated on the ground with 198 rushing yards on 24 carries, highlighted by an 87-yard touchdown run in the Ravens’ opening game. He added a rare receiving touchdown in the second quarter – his first since 2019.

Henry moved the chains six times. He forced four missed tackles and gained 10 or more yards on three separate runs. Of his total mileage, 131 came on contact and 67 came on contact afterward. He was aided by excellent blocking, averaging an impressive 5.5 yards from contact per carry.
