Horrifying scenes at the Falcons-Saints game as a fan throws a man to the ground and stomps on his head in a brutal NFL brawl

The NFL was again hit by sickening scenes of violence on Sunday as another brawl ripped through the stands.

Things got worryingly heated in the stands during this week’s heated NFC South matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons.

In viral footage on social media, a man wearing a Falcons jersey was seen lunging across a row of seats to pounce on another spectator who had been thrown to the ground at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Falcons fan violently stomped on the fallen supporter’s head three times before being pulled back.

Meanwhile, further down the row, a man could be seen grabbing another by the neck in a headlock before throwing him over two rows of seats.

According to a report that shared the clip, several women were also said to have been injured in the brutal brawl.

The sickening, violent scenes mark a continuation of the epidemic that has plagued the NFL over the past two seasons.

Earlier this season, a violent brawl broke out at SoFi Stadium when the Raiders played the Chargers. A man was left bleeding and unconscious while a woman’s body was thrown to the ground.

Fan violence spiraled out of control throughout several NFL games last year.

In September 2023, a fan even died after a fight at a New England Patriots game.

Fan violence spiraled out of control at NFL games throughout the stadium last year, and there were even several clashes between Raiders and Chargers fans at SoFi Stadium last October.

Patriots fan Dale Mooney, 53, collapsed and died after being punched by a Dolphins fan at Gillette Stadium.

Disturbing footage obtained by NBC10 showed the father of two and longtime Patriots ticket holder, who was wearing Jones’ No. 10 jersey, being attacked by a Dolphins fan.

Eyewitnesses said Mooney fell to the ground moments later during the big fight. He was then taken to a nearby hospital before he was pronounced dead.

However, an autopsy concluded that Mooney was not killed directly by the punch from Dolphins fans and may have succumbed to an undisclosed “medical issue.”

The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office said the autopsy revealed a medical issue that may have contributed to his death.

Prosecutor Michael Morrissey confirmed the problem may have contributed to his death but the case required further investigation.

Last year, nasty scenes – in the stands or around the stadium – also went viral with the Giants, the 49ers, the Bengals, the Commanders, the Rams, the Broncos, the Ravens and the Seahawks.

A 2023 survey found that nearly 40 percent of NFL fans have witnessed crime in or around an NFL stadium; around one in 14 people was a victim themselves. Nowhere did fans experience more unrest (63 percent) than at Lincoln Financial Field – home of the Philadelphia Eagles. The most commonly observed crime? Physical violence.

Meanwhile, less than two percent of Colts fans said they felt comfortable letting their children go to Lucas Oil Stadium unaccompanied. Across all 32 teams, this value was 77 percent.

Nearly three-quarters of female Lions fans (74 percent) admitted they wouldn’t feel comfortable being near Ford Field alone; Leaguewide it was 45 percent. And yet perhaps the most striking feature of this spate of violence is the number of women perpetrating violence.
