Buffalo Bills at Baltimore Ravens: Open thread for the first half

The Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens enter the important AFC duel this evening in completely different locations. At 3-0, the Bills are atop their division and could grab an early two-game lead with a win as the New York Jets suffered an ugly 10-9 decision against the Denver Broncos today. The Ravens, on the other hand, are struggling to start the year and at 1-2 are in danger of falling to 1-3 with two AFC losses.

Admittedly, the Ravens have had an extremely difficult schedule so far, losing on the road to the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions in the first two weeks of the season before defeating the Dallas Cowboys at home last week. Baltimore’s games have also all been decided by a score, making the Ravens a perfect example of a team that is better than their record suggests.

This is one of the most popular matchups for a variety of reasons. The Bills and Ravens have been among the NFL’s elite for years, as they are second and fourth in the NFL in wins, respectively, since the 2019 NFL season. Buffalo has 61 wins and Baltimore has 57 wins in that span. Additionally, both have two of the best quarterbacks in the league: Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.

Expect some magic from both quarterbacks tonight and expect a consistently entertaining game. These are two great football teams with great head coaches, so it’s no wonder the scheduling committee decided to put this game in prime time.

Your first half thread is here, friends. Please ensure that you treat each other politely. Remember to toggle comments to oldest if you want the feel of a classic gaming thread. And most importantly, remember to enjoy the game no matter where you watch it.

Come on, bills!
