Broncos QB terrible first half vs. Jets

The Denver Broncos squared off in Week 4, with the New York Jets picking up an impressive win. The Broncos hoped to carry momentum from their 26-7 victory over the Buccaneers to MetLife Stadium on Sunday, but the afternoon got off to a historically poor start.

Bo Nix, the 12th overall pick from the 2024 NFL Draft, celebrated his first win in the NFL last weekend and had a miserable first half against the Jets: Nix was the first quarterback since at least 2000 to have several in the first half of the game Scored completions and threw for negative yards.

Nix completed seven of 15 passes for -7 yards in the first half.

In September 1998, Ryan Leaf completed 4 of 15 passes for 4 yards. This is the lowest mark by a quarterback in NFL history with at least 15 pass attempts.

Nix’s first-half performance was a significant step down from his stellar 25 of 36 for 216 yards in Week 3.
