Jets’ Aaron Rodgers disappeared with friend – and was criticized for it: ‘I didn’t love it’

Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers made a lot of people happy Thursday night when he led New York to a 24-3 win over the New England Patriots – Jets fans, coaches and players, to name a few.

But he particularly disappointed two people who had no part in the win or loss: Amazon Prime Video “Thursday Night Football” host Charissa Thompson and FOX Sports NFL sideline reporter Erin Andrews, both of whom Rodgers calls a friend.

“I know I didn’t get a chance to talk to him because he didn’t jump on the desk with us afterwards – which I’m so upset about,” Thompson said Monday on the “Calm Down” podcast, which sparked one casual discussion. “Aaron, I was really looking forward to talking to you. We love Aaron. Selfishly, I wanted to celebrate this moment with him as a group.”

“I would have preferred it up there on the desk,” Andrews said. “I was looking forward to two of my really good friends having fun. I didn’t love it.”

After Rodgers completed 27 of 35 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns in the victory, he spoke to sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung as he left the field, but did not reappear on the post-game show with Thompson and the rest of the crew .

“I get really sensitive when our guys… it’s not that they don’t take the time – I joked to Tom Brady about it, ‘Oh, remember that game where you threw for 400 yards and walked right past me.’ After the game I applied lip gloss again. Are you crazy? Andrews said. “It’s just rude. Or now Aaron, when I talk to you, “How dare you not get on that desk with Charissa?” It actually gets personal. … This is our Oscar night.”
