This is the horrific moment Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie collapsed on the sidelines after hitting his head on the turf at MetLife Stadium.

Slow-motion replays showed Badie landing awkwardly on his head and neck during a Broncos game against the Jets before he managed to return to the sideline.

Just seconds later, he collapsed among his teammates and paramedics rushed to his aid.

Shortly thereafter, as the second quarter of the game began, Badie was placed in a neck brace and carried back to the locker room for further examination.

He was then quickly ruled out for the remainder of the game, but the full extent of his injuries is currently unclear.

The injury occurred after Badie was tackled by Quincy Williams and forced a fumble

The incident occurred during a tackle by Jets linebacker Quincy Williams, which brought Badie to the ground as he attempted to catch the ball, resulting in a fumble and a Jets recovery.

Badie was then unable to break his fall in the pouring rain and his face mask can be seen hitting the MetLife turf.

On the big screens in the stadium you could see Badie being taken away on a stretcher shortly afterwards. He appeared to be conscious and speaking to paramedics.

Badie was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft after starring at Missouri and was promoted to the active roster on Wednesday after impressing with nine carries for 70 yards in a Week 3 win over the Bucs.
