New York Jets vs Denver Broncos game thread

The New York Jets host the Denver Broncos at home today in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. EDT.

At the start of the season, the Jets were significantly outclassed by the San Francisco 49ers. Since then, the Jets have turned things around, looking better and better and defeating the New England Patriots last week. Aaron Rodgers started to look like an old Rodgers, and the defense caught up, getting better against the run and putting tremendous pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Now the Jets are trying to avoid disappointment after last week’s emotional loss to the hated New England Patriots.

The Jets will need the defense to harass and confuse Broncos’ rookie quarterback Bo Nix. If you can do that, a mediocre running game from the Broncos shouldn’t be enough to beat the Jets. The Broncos defense is putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks and blitzing at top speed in the league, but that shouldn’t worry Aaron Rodgers too much, who is a master at spotting the gaps in a defense and getting the ball out quickly.

At home, against a rookie quarterback and a less talented team, this is a game the Jets should win. Time to take care of business and prove that the team can respond well to success.

It’s the Jets and the Broncos. Have fun with the game.
