Kristen Bell makes surprising revelation about Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl’S The setting of New York was a big focus of the show, so much so that the city was often referred to as a “character” in its own right. But one star apparently had no idea where the film was filmed.

Kristen Bell is the actress who provided the series’ voiceover as the mysterious title character “Gossip Girl,” whose identity was controversially revealed in the 2012 series finale.

She is currently promoting her new Netflix series. Nobody wants that, alongside co-star Adam Brody, who happens to be married to someone else gossip Girl Stern, Leighton Meester.

In an interview with hustle and bustle, Bell revealed that until recently she had no idea where the show was filmed: “The funny thing is, as Gossip Girl in Los Angeles, I was just on the microphone; I never filmed with them,” she recalls.

“I didn’t even know where they were shooting. Where did they film this show?” she asked Brody.

“Um, Montreal,” he replied jokingly.

“Okay, this is my first time hearing about it,” Bell replied, prompting Brody to clarify: “Well, New York.”

“Oh, New York. “You were kidding?” Bell said, realizing Brody had messed with her. “New York because the city had a character.”

“You can see how dedicated she was,” Brody told the interviewer, laughing.

“I just got on the mic and got sassy,” she replied, before explaining how she actually met Meester when she guest-starred on one of Bell’s previous series. Veronica Mars.

gossip Girl ran for six seasons between 2007 and 2012 and followed a group of privileged students living on Manhattan’s Upper East Side whose private and social lives are revealed by unknown blogger “Gossip Girl.”

In Nobody wants that, Bell plays a sex blogger and serial dater who falls in love with a progressive rabbi (Brody). The couple then has to deal with the doubts of their respective friends and family.

The show received positive reviews from critics, including a four-star rating in The Independent.

Katie Rosseinsky said that “a few obvious tropes are present and correct” but “there’s also plenty of room for less predictable comedic moments that are sharply observed and sometimes hilariously, jaw-droppingly relatable.”

“The whole thing is an entertaining mix of romantic escapism and sometimes biting realism. Joanne and Noah are a couple you want to root for. I feel like the title of the show won’t be a self-fulfilling prophecy,” she added.
