Colorado-UCF kickoff time delayed due to weather

Colorado And UCF will not kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET because, according to UCF fans, the game was delayed due to inclement weather.

If lightning strikes the area, pregame will resume after a 30-minute period in which no lightning is seen within 8 miles of the stadium. Both Colorado and UCF need to be given a chance to warm up.

At this point, the earliest the game will begin is 4:05 p.m. ET. Matt Baker from the Tampa Bay Times It was later reported that 4:20 p.m. ET would be the expected kickoff time.

Colorado and UCF are coming off big wins in their last few games. The Buffaloes miraculously beat Baylor 38-31 in overtime after a Hail Mary from Shedeur Sanders to tie the game.

Beat UCF now TCU 35-34 away, before a bye week, to remain undefeated at 3-0. Colorado (3-1) will look to hand the Knights their first loss and win their second straight Big 12 game.

With Colorado and UCF temporarily on the roster, the question is whether the Buffaloes can maintain their success.

Paul Finebaum I won’t go so far as to say that Colorado can win the Big 12 after the win Baylor last weekend.

In fact, the ESPN commentator in Wednesday’s segment called it “fiction.” Stand up. Yes, Deion Sanders and Co. are 3-1 and thrilled college football fans with a Hail Mary and an overtime victory.

But that’s about the best Colorado can do in 2024.

“I would say fiction, Greeny,” Finebaum continued Stand up. “Everyone was amazed by what we saw. It was probably the play of the year, it wasn’t even really controversial, but they’re still not there. Their offensive line still can’t protect (Shedeur) Sanders and that’s really the problem. And that will be their downfall before this season is over.”

This protection? Colorado’s offensive line surrendered eight sacks to the Baylor defense. Shedeur Sanders has been sacked 16 times in four games this year, an average of four per game.

Sure, last game was something of an outlier for Colorado, but it’s still an alarming statistic. The Buffaloes averaged just 68.8 rushing yards per game, putting the onus on the passing game.
