LSU is seeking its fourth straight win since a season-opening loss to Southern California in Las Vegas and must win to avoid slipping in the AP Top 25 poll. South Alabama wants to be competitive and stay relatively healthy before concluding its schedule with seven straight Sun Belt Conference contests.

LSU’s banged up and sometimes shaky defense against South Alabama’s dual-threat quarterback Gio Lopez. The Jaguars QB has 843 yards and nine touchdowns while rushing for 171 yards and two touchdowns.
