“We think: Wow, we have 11,500 in this stadium. We know we have more fans out there sitting on their couches cheering for us just as hard and strong. How can we expand our footprint and give them a chance?” “I have the opportunity to come along and just be a part of this exciting experience,” said Jocelyn Monroe, vice president of marketing at KC Current.

This is an opportunity for fans who may not have game tickets to enjoy a “stadium-like” experience at the CPKC grounds.

“We will have highly committed and enthusiastic fans in the stadium, but we will also give the fans the opportunity to be in the stadium and feel that energy. Inside and outside the stadium, fan excitement is exploding, and we really are.” We look forward to providing what we believe will be a truly family-friendly way for fans to bring the whole family to CPKC Stadium and enjoy it “What our friends helped us build,” Monroe said.

Fans who have purchased tickets to Current Fest will be able to watch the game on the television screens set up. There is also food and activities for the children.

Monroe says this is an opportunity for fans to root for one of their favorite Kansas City teams alongside some of their favorite people.

“There’s nothing better than watching the game, you know, your favorite team playing with your favorite people,” Monroe said. “Your family and your friends or some new friends, you know, new friends who are KC Current fans and share the viewing experience together,” Monroe added.

The team is in the playoffs and is aiming for home advantage. Monroe said they want to expand that energy and spirit.

“This is our first ever and something tells me it won’t be our last, so we’re going to learn a lot here,” Monroe said. “This is an opportunity for us to expand the CPKC Stadium experience, the brawl of our fans, our supporter group and really take that, if you will, outside the four walls of CPKC Stadium for an in-game game, so it continues inside, but it is also connected to the outside world.

Monroe says fans can expect to be excited, engaged and impressed.

Tickets for Current Fest are five dollars. Children under nine years of age have free entry.

With the current festival tickets, fans do not have access to the CPKC Stadium.
