Leading the way this week is Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” on Disney Plus and the Brad Pitt and George Clooney-directed action comedy “Wolfs” on Apple TV Plus. We loved the first Inside Out so much that it made our list of the best Disney Plus movies. This time, now-teenager Riley is making a name for herself at her new school, leading her ice hockey team to victory with her two close friends by her side. But just as she’s getting going, puberty hits, bringing with it all the usual pitfalls of awkward teenage years.

There’s also a new cast of personified emotions: fear (Maya Hawke), envy (Ayo Edebiri), boredom (Adèle Exarchopoulos) and embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser). These newcomers seem determined to completely change Riley and mess with Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), and the rest of the OG sensibilities. As Riley attends a prestigious hockey camp that could make or break her high school experience, her emotions clash internally to prevent her self-esteem from becoming hopelessly corrupted.

I love a good documentary, and if it leaves me emotionally ruined by the end credits, all the better. Based on the trailer alone, “Will & Harper” seems to meet both criteria.

This heartwarming documentary follows two old friends, comedy legend Will Ferrell and Harper Steele (former head writer of Saturday Night Live at the time Ferrell became one of its breakout stars). After Harper came out as transgender, the two embarked on a 16-day road trip across America to reintroduce Steele as her authentic self. It’s a story about friendship, allies, and the journey of becoming your true self, filled with humor and touching moments throughout.

Brad Pitt and George Clooney are back in “Wolfs,” a shot-em-up action comedy about two lonely professional fixers, people who are paid to solve high-profile crimes caused by circumstances beyond their control. be forced to join forces.

When Jack (Clooney) is called by the prosecutor to secretly dispose of a body at their hotel, his work is interrupted by a knock on the door. Much to his chagrin, it turns out that the mysterious hotel owner has hired a professional fixer named Nick (Brad Pitt) to make sure the job is done right. With no choice but to work together if the two lone wolves want to get paid, their night soon spirals out of control in unexpected ways. The impeccable on-screen chemistry between Pitt and Clooney, which you know from several hits like the Ocean’s trilogy and Burn After Reading, is a real selling point.

“Rez Ball” was produced by LeBron James and co-written by “Reservation Dogs” showrunner Sterlin Harjo. It’s this year’s underdog sports drama that critics are raving about – and it’s already earned a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
