Suge Knight says someone could hurt Diddy in prison

Suge Knight and Diddy have been rivals and enemies since the ’90s, when their respective labels – Death Row and Bad Boy – fought for rap supremacy in a feud that culminated in the tragic murders of 2Pac and The Notorious BIG

Knight, who is currently serving 28 years for involuntary manslaughter in California, spoke with Chris Cuomo NewsNation to talk about Diddy’s arrest. Suge began the conversation with a disclaimer, saying that he “doesn’t jump up and cheer when no black man goes to prison or any other human being goes to prison.”

However, he hinted that Diddy could face a difficult time behind bars due to his fame. “I mean, one of the things is this: I don’t care who you are, prison and jail is a negative environment,” Knight said. “Someone can do something to him and make a name for himself, he actually will. Or if they can do whatever they have to do to prove themselves.” He added: “But we also have to learn… We have to learn from our mistakes. It doesn’t all have to be a mistake, you have to improve. But we all know what we have chosen in life.”

Cuomo also asked the Death Row Records founder if he felt Diddy was in danger and if he had any advice for him. “I don’t want to say he’s in danger, and he shouldn’t say that,” he advised. “Because once he gets to the point where they feel like he’s going to be suicidal… you have no right to anything: no socks, no underwear, no T-shirt, no blanket, no sheets. Being a crazy man means sitting naked in a cell, so there’s no way he wants to do that.”

His other words of wisdom were to ask for kosher meals because they were difficult to manipulate. “Maybe he should switch to the Jewish diet because the kosher meals are much better than the food someone else prepares for you,” he said. “At least they’re getting hot. They come sealed and you will be the one to open them. This is very important.”

Diddy is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, a prison notorious for its violence and poor living conditions. MDC Brooklyn has housed prominent prisoners such as R. Kelly and Ghislaine Maxwell, and some judges have even refused to send people there, it is said The Associated Press. He is under “procedural” suicide watch, which is common for inmates of his stature. A spokesman claimed he was “strong, healthy and focused on his defense”.
