WEATHER UNTIL OCTOBER 2nd2024, ANALYSIS AND FORECAST

From a weather perspective, “Italy” is split between a “new wave of bad weather” and an outbreak of African heat A disturbance will cause deterioration in the north and part of the central regionsembedded in a large trough whose slope towards Spain has favored the rise of a subtropical anticyclonic ridge into Mediterranean latitudes.

⁣ Temperature drop and unstable weather in some regions between Saturday and Sunday

This near-lockdown scenario will develop until the end of the week, with the “passage of the trough” over Italy linked to the rapid passage of a cold front that is expected to hit the northeast and then slide towards the center-south. This impulse is followed by an influx of cold air from northern Europe This will displace the unusual heat even from the south. ‍ ⁣ Temperatures will drop sharply and locally fall below average, especially on the Adriatic slopes. The weather is expected to improve from Sunday due to an anticyclonic rise to the west. Italy remains exposed to the effects of cold northerly currents, which will lead to residual instability on part of the middle to lower side of the Adriatic and in the south. ‌ ‍ The anticyclonic surge will become even more pronounced early next week as temperatures will rise above average again, especially in the mid-south region. There will therefore be a new phase of stable weather, but this is unlikely to last long ‌due to new Atlantic disrupted ‌threats approaching from the West.
